buzzing coming from tv/cable box can it be a hidden video tape/camera?
I live in an apartment with a creepy landlord who i dont ttrust. Sometimes as soon as i walk into my room and its quiet i can hear a buzzing noise sort of like a recording sound it stops and starts and then stops for a while. The tv and cable box is off when it happens most the time and im not DVRing anything. Should i be worried and search for a hidden camera . Its a cablevision cable box and tobisha 7 year old tv id say.
actually TV now is a TWO way system. Your TV can be used as camera by the government to see if you are saying or doing anything to discredit the president
Lots of electronic starts buzzing like that when it is about to go bad. Complain to your cable company and they will change the box.

but"….
None the less,
if you arent naturally prone to suspicions that you are being secretely taped or monitered..
then your intuition and Creepy-Voyeristic-
Landlord-Radar must be kicking in.
Easy.
Call your Local Cable Provider and ask them to send someone out to look at your Cable box.
Since you live in an apartment building,
and someone has to be paying for Cable,
its probably something like someone else who feels the extra $50 per month can go to better uses..
they’ve MickeyMoused some spliter in there,
and if that’s the case,
the Cable guys will find it,
disable it,
you’ll hear the LOUD MOAN coming from whatever Apt. it is where the illegal Cable was shut off and that will be the end of that.
If,
on the other hand,
your Landlord’s some kind of Perv,
or something,
start searching him out on-line and see if anything rears its ugly head,
like:
previous cases of peeping on Tenants,
harassing Tenants,
etc.
See if he’s a registered Sex Offender-which will always come up,
for starters.
Chat with some of the other Tenants
(obviously this must be done very carefully)
to see if anyone else gets the creeps from this guy.
