If someone is invading your privacy, what criminal charges can be laid?

What do you do if someone is invading your privacy, without your persmission or consent?
This includes: watching/spying with video camera (of some sort), stealing using and reading mail specifically addressed, taking bank account statements, going through a person’s room, etc.

When they were confronted, they admitted to some of the previous mentioned things, but months after they still continued (to steal mail to this present day).

Also, should we notify the police or is this a lawsuit-type situation?

Too vague of a question to answer with any degree of certainty. What expectation of privacy do you have? Watching with a video camera where? In public you have no assurance of privacy after all.

How are they getting access to your mail, bank accounts and room?

If you are under age 18 a parent would not be invading your privacy to read your mail or go in your room, for example.

stealing peoples mail is a federal crime and I think its a felony, many cities and localities have peeping tom laws

u should to take necessary steps

      Not yet.

You are required to take whatever steps are possible to stop this from happening- new mail box with a key, new phone number , lock on your room etc.

IF someone is trailing you with a camera, call the police.
